WHAT DOES A TATTOO COST?
Get an overview of what your tattoo costs.
The price of a tattoo depends on several things, including size, placement, level of detail, and how long it takes to tattoo. That’s why it can be difficult to give an exact price before I know more about your idea.
Here you can find my tattoo prices and get a better idea of what your tattoo will cost at Sonne Tattoo in Roskilde. You’re also always welcome to send me your idea if you would like a price estimate.
Prices at Sonne Tattoo
- This price applies to tattoos that can be completed in 1 - 5 hours or need to be divided into smaller sessions.
Hourly rate: 1.500 DKK.
- For larger projects, it often makes sense to book a full day. This allows for completing a significant portion of the tattoo in one session and saves money compared to the hourly rate.
Full-day session, 6 hours: 7.000 DKK.
- Flash designs are ready-made designs that can be customized in size and color. You get a 30% discount because the design work is already done, and the price is based on the tattooing time minus the discount. Each design is unique and will only be done once.

-
I charge a booking fee of 500 DKK, which is deducted from the final price.
-
Design and drawing time are included in the prices.
-
For hourly rates, the short breaks I need are deducted from the final price of the finished tattoo.
-
In addition to the time I spend tattooing you, expect extra time for setup, stencil creation and application, as well as wrapping your finished tattoo, usually 20 minutes to 1 hour.
Factors that affect the price of your tattoo
Size
The size of your tattoo can have a significant impact, but a large and simple tattoo can sometimes take less time than a small but very detailed tattoo.
Color
Will your tattoo be in colors, Black and Gray, or completely black? The time required can vary significantly depending on your choice of colors.
Time
Small tattoos are generally priced by the hour. If you are getting a large tattoo, you can always save money by booking a full-day session.
Placement
Where on the body will the tattoo be placed? It's much easier to tattoo a forearm than, for example, the ribs.
Details
The level of detail in your design often correlates with the time needed for your tattoo. More details mean more time.
NOTE! All prices given are estimates unless otherwise agreed.
Factors that can affect the agreed price:
-
Your skin type.

Your ability to sit still.
-

-
Changes in size compared to the originally agreed upon.
-
Changes in placement compared to the originally agreed upon.
-
Changes in color choice compared to the originally agreed upon.
25% Discount on Flash Designs
If you choose one of my ready made flash designs, you’ll get 25% off your tattoo because the drawing process is already done.
The size and colors can still be adjusted to make the design fit you and the placement. Each design is tattooed only once, so once a design is booked, it is no longer available.
